Connecting Foreign Visas, Corporate Setup, Investment, and Legal Support — Ethos × Insight Law Firm Partnership

While preparing for my OASIS lecture, I realized something important.
Many issues involving foreigners do not end with just one type of professional service.
For example, a foreign national planning to start a business in Korea may need more than just a visa.
They may need to file a foreign investment report or establish a corporation. Once the company begins operating, contract or labor issues may arise, and unexpected disputes or legal responses may become necessary.
For companies moving between the Middle East and Korea, the situation can become even more complex.
Imagine a company from Saudi Arabia or the UAE investing in Korea. It may need to complete foreign investment procedures, establish a company in Korea, and review the visa status of its representative or employees.
Moreover, compared to legal and business information about countries such as the United States or Australia, which is relatively familiar in Korea, information related to the Middle East is often harder to find. Even terms such as Zakat or Saudization may be unfamiliar at first.
Conversely, when a Korean company seeks to enter the Middle East, documents and contracts prepared in Korea may need to be connected with local legal review, depending on the matter.
Ultimately, the client may have one problem, but the professionals needed to address it may span several different fields.
As I have expanded my work in foreigner-related visa matters and Middle East-related services, this is something I have continued to think about.
If the client’s problem is one connected issue, why should they have to visit several different professionals separately?
That is why I have started a new collaboration.
Ethos Administrative Office Has Entered Into a Partnership With Insight Law Firm
On August 18, 2026, Ethos Administrative Office entered into an official partnership agreement with Insight Law Firm.
This partnership aims to promote joint work and cooperation in immigration and visa matters, Middle East-related corporate establishment and legal advisory services, and matters related to investment in Korea by companies or individuals from the Middle East.
Through this partnership, Ethos now has a collaborative structure that allows complex matters, which may be difficult to complete through administrative services alone, to be reviewed together with the necessary legal professionals from the beginning.
A Foreigner’s Issue Often Does Not End With a Visa
For example, suppose a foreign national staying in Korea becomes involved in a criminal case.
Defense and legal response in the criminal case itself fall within the lawyer’s professional area.
However, even after the criminal procedure ends, the foreign national’s issue may not be fully resolved.
Depending on the details of the case and the outcome, there may be consequences for later immigration procedures, such as extension of stay or change of visa status.
In my OASIS lecture, I did not only explain how to “obtain” a visa.
That is because, in order to continue operating a business in Korea, it is necessary to understand not only the visa itself but also later extensions of stay and legal or administrative issues that may arise during business operations.
In foreigner-related cases, the following two questions sometimes need to be considered together.
“How should the criminal case be handled?”
“How will the result affect the person’s stay in Korea?”
Insight Global also operates with a structure that reviews connected risks, such as criminal, labor, immigration, and visa issues involving foreigners, together with the relevant professional areas rather than treating them as entirely separate matters.
Through this partnership, Ethos has established a foundation to review these complex cases in connection with the necessary professionals.

We Will Especially Strengthen Work Connecting Korea and the Middle East
One of the main goals of this partnership is to strengthen work connecting Korea and the Middle East.
For example, suppose a Saudi company plans to enter the Korean market.
The issue is not limited to bringing investment funds into Korea and establishing a company.
Foreign investment procedures, corporate establishment, visa matters for representatives or employees, contracts, and various legal reviews may all follow.
Conversely, when a Korean company seeks to enter Saudi Arabia or another Middle Eastern country, administrative and contractual documents may need to be prepared in Korea, and local legal review may also be required depending on the matter.
If these cases are viewed separately as a “visa matter,” a “corporate matter,” or a “contract matter,” it becomes easy to miss the overall structure.
Through this partnership, Ethos will be able to expand its role as a point of connection for administrative, immigration, and legal matters needed between Korea and the Middle East.

The areas that an administrative scrivener may handle include immigration, administrative procedures, document preparation, and related services.
On the other hand, labor matters handled by labor attorneys and legal advisory or litigation work handled by attorneys each belong to the relevant professional field.
Through this collaboration, Ethos will handle immigration, administrative procedures, and document-related work within the scope of an administrative scrivener’s services, while working with Insight Law Firm when legal advisory, litigation, or other attorney-level expertise is required.
When a matter requires both administrative or immigration work and legal review, it can now be approached through collaboration among professionals within their respective areas rather than by separating each issue entirely.
What Matters in This Partnership Is Not “Scale,” but “Connection”
Insight Global, the global legal service platform of Insight Law Firm, covers areas including foreign investment, corporate advisory, overseas corporate establishment, criminal matters, labor, immigration, and visas.
Korean and U.S. attorneys, as well as accounting, labor, and tax professionals, participate in the platform, and it also provides global services through overseas networks.
However, what I considered important in this partnership was not simply how many attorneys or professionals are involved.
What mattered more was whether we shared the same awareness that one issue involving a foreign national can lead to several different professional areas.
A legal issue may be discovered while handling a visa matter.
A representative’s immigration status may become an issue while proceeding with foreign investment and corporate establishment.
When preparing to enter the Middle East, local regulations and administrative documents prepared in Korea may become issues at the same time.
Through this partnership, we now have a structure that allows the client’s situation to be reviewed in a connected way from the beginning and handled collaboratively according to the professional areas required.
What Can Ethos Handle?
Through this partnership, Ethos plans to further define its services with a focus on foreigner-related immigration work and Middle East and Arabic-related matters.
When necessary, Ethos will collaborate with legal professionals, with the goal of building a structure in which clients do not have to explain the same issue repeatedly to multiple offices.
In that process, Ethos plans to focus especially on the following areas.
1. Stay and Visa Matters for Foreign Nationals in Korea
Ethos reviews which visa status may be required for foreign nationals who wish to do business or work in Korea and supports immigration applications and related documentation.
2. Administrative and Documentation Work Between Korea and the Middle East
Ethos organizes administrative procedures and documents needed when Korean companies enter the Middle East or Middle Eastern companies enter Korea, and reviews the connection between Arabic materials and Korean administrative procedures.
3. Drafting Contracts and Documents for Administrative Agencies
Ethos supports the preparation of contracts and documents submitted to administrative agencies within the scope of services that an administrative scrivener may perform.
4. Documents Responding to Administrative Dispositions
Ethos handles document preparation and submission agency work for administrative procedures, including administrative appeals, within the scope of administrative scrivener services.
5. Arabic Translation and Certification-Related Documentation
Ethos supports translation of Arabic documents and procedures required for international use of documents, including apostille and consular legalization.
In the future, Ethos plans to gradually expand translation and certification services for documents moving between Korea and other countries, including not only Arabic documents but also English documents.
From Middle Eastern Companies Entering Korea to Korean Companies Expanding Into the Middle East
Through this collaboration, Ethos plans to handle matters such as:
- Middle Eastern companies seeking to enter Korea
- Companies and individuals from the Middle East seeking to invest in Korea
- Korean companies preparing to enter the Middle East
- Foreigner-related cases where visa issues and other legal issues are connected
In these matters, Ethos will first identify which services it can handle directly and, when necessary, connect the matter with Insight Law Firm for review and response in the relevant professional areas.
The Goal Is Not to “Do Everything in One Place”
What I want to build through this partnership is not a structure where everything is done in one place.
Rather, the goal is to create a point of contact where the overall structure of a matter can be reviewed from the beginning, even when the client does not yet know which professional area their issue belongs to.
This is especially important for matters where it may be unclear whom to contact first, such as Middle Eastern companies preparing to enter Korea or Korean companies considering expansion into the Middle East.
In such cases, it is not necessary to prepare every document from the beginning.
It may be enough to start by organizing which country the matter relates to, what business is being prepared, and what issue has currently arisen.
If it is unclear which professional should be consulted first, Ethos will first review the structure of the matter.
Ethos will determine whether the matter falls within the scope of services it can perform directly or whether legal review is also required, and will collaborate with Insight Law Firm when necessary.
